Tom works with vinyl flashe emulsion, a highly pigmented, water-based paint that allows him to layer translucent color across the surface. Using squeegees and hard edges, he creates compositions that appear minimal at first glance but reveal subtle shifts in tone and depth. These gradual variations produce visual vibrations that change with light and movement, creating an immersive experience. Carefully chosen color relationships give the work an emotional and spatial presence that blurs the line between painting and atmosphere.
